Year of Establishment

On 13th August, 1998, the Department of Education began its journey by offering the Pass course. Two years later, on 6th September, 2000, the department introduced its first Honours course with a modest intake of 40 students. Today, that number has grown to 130.

About the Department

Since its inception, the department has been deeply committed to academic excellence. Its strong reputation has spread widely, driven by the dedication, encouragement and meticulous teaching of its faculty.

Growth & Alumni

As student enrolment steadily increased over the years, the faculty expanded accordingly. Through constructive guidance and a positive learning environment, the department has helped students realize their full potential. Many of our alumni have gone on to successful careers as teachers, professors, social workers and political figures, ultimately becoming responsible and respected citizens.

NAAC Recognition

During the NAAC visits to Mahishadal Girls’ College in 2005 and 2018, the Department of Education was recognized as a leading department. We are confident that during future NAAC visits, the department will continue to prosper and solidify its position at the forefront of the institution.
